OK — been using this thing for maybe five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.

How I found it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an e/w return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d eyeball it and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator is the one I open most — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out returns straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it’s over at work out each way bet and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

What really changed how I bet were the nerdier extras. They’ve got an probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too for when I’m spreading across selections.

Not all sunshine though. The interface feels a bit basic — not much polish, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works although the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone still does the maths on paper, have a look — saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
